Building Confidence for the Next Adventure
Our Pre-School environment gives children rich opportunities to explore ideas, develop independence, build relationships and deepen their love of learning.
Through Montessori experiences alongside the EYFS, children are supported as individuals while developing the knowledge, skills and confidence they will carry into school and beyond.
An Environment Full of Possibility
Our light and inviting Pre-School room provides children with a wide range of purposeful experiences.
These include:
Practical Life
Developing independence, coordination and everyday skills.
Sensorial Learning
Exploring and understanding the world through the senses.
Early Literacy & Mathematics
Building strong foundations through engaging, hands-on experiences.
Creative & Cultural Experiences
Art, music, books, construction, imaginative play and opportunities to explore the wider world.
Montessori in Practice
Children are encouraged to choose, explore, experiment and increasingly take responsibility for their learning.
Our practitioners carefully observe each child, introduce appropriate materials and experiences, and provide support when it is needed.
The prepared environment encourages children to concentrate, solve problems and experience the satisfaction of doing things for themselves.
Confidence, Friendship & Independence
Children have opportunities to:
- communicate their ideas
- cooperate with others
- solve problems
- make choices
- develop self-esteem
- practise independence
- build positive relationships
These skills provide important foundations for children’s future learning and everyday life.
Preparing for School
As children approach the next stage of their education, we support them to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards change.
We work with children, families and schools to help make the transition into primary education as smooth and reassuring as possible. The existing school-transition provision includes communication with receiving schools and additional transition support where appropriate.
Learning Outdoors, Every Day
Pre-School children also benefit from regular outdoor experiences, with opportunities to move, create, investigate, build and experience the natural world.
